Fan Nail

Mari Moon Hits "Artsy" is still a favourite of mine. Pictures really don't do it justice! The blue/purple shift is the most noticeable but in poorer lighting (like the bottom left pic) you can see the goldish hue as well. Love it. 

This is a new look I tried using a makeup fan brush. I was inspired by this tutorial. Loved how it turned out! The colours gave it a sunset type look which was cool. I used a base of Zoya "Arizona" (vegan) and then added NYC "Lexington Yellow" (vegan), Julep "Cameron" (vegan) and Zoya "Shelby" (vegan).

Mani Catch Up

I skipped this post last week because I couldn't find some of the pictures so I have extra for you this week!

First up is a crackle mani. I know, crackle is so last year or whatever but I wanted to give it another go. I thought it would be cool layering it over a somewhat similar colour. I really liked it but somehow only ended up with these two craptastic pictures! Not sure what happened.  Anyway this is Salon Perfect Crackle (unknown) in a gold shade over Julep "Nikki" (vegan).

This simple look is Julep "Shenae" (vegan) topped with Ludurana "Flocado" (unknown).

This was my favourite of this week. I know I've said it before but I just love these Born Pretty Store studs! Also, Jessie's Girl "Mermaid's Lagoon" (vegan) is such a gorgeous, rich shade. Although I do wish the gold flash you see in the bottle showed up on the nail.

I currently have this on. China Glaze "Flip Flop Fantasy" (vegan)" topped with a spectraflair topcoat. Perfect for the sunny weather we are now having!

I've had this no name Rite Aid glitter since November and hadn't worn it yet! I actually really like it though. I like that it is pink and purple. The base is OPI "Planks a Lot".

Julep

First manicure is two coats of Zoya "Shelby", my favourite Barbie pink, topped with two coats of Claire's "Candy Shop". I liked how girly this was. 

 I've forgotten to skip the last two months in the Julep Maven program so I have some new Julep polishes. This one is unique to my collection and I really  like it a lot. The formula wasn't great (super thick so I'll add thinner next time) but I loved the finished result. It is Julep "Nikki".  **

This is one coat of Julep "Oh Canada" over two coats of Julep "Diane" It's sort of Christmas colours but I figured it was subtle enough to get away with.

Nail Art

For this look  I used some hex glitter from Born Pretty Store to create a "frame". The polish is Color Club "Alias", a cool multichrome. Oddly, the effect shows up better in pictures than in person. This was a really fun look although the sequins didn't stay put for too long.

Another skittle mani. I used Born Pretty Store studs. The green is A England "St George". The glitter one is Butter London "West End Wonderland". The nude is Zoya "Avery".

 You may recognize this look if you are on Pinterest. I'm not sure who the original poster was though! Just a very cute look hehe The white is Zoya "Purity" and the black is China Glaze "Liquid Leather".

Studded Pants

Before all of this 100F nonsense that we're having now, we did have some cooler weather. So don't let my next few outfit posts confuse you haha 

I altered these pants to fit better. They aren't stretchy so they always seem to stretch out a bit as a wear them, still do, but oh well. I added these Ebay studs on one side. I love the look! At first a few came loose but I think they are secure now. If not, I will hot glue the backs of them.  This blouse is still one of my favourites! I love the draped fit and black trim. The collar tips are also from Ebay (like $1.50 for two pairs!); I got them to spruce up my collared shirts. Aren't they fun?

Studs, Holo and Stamping!

Re-organizing the blog a bit! I've decided to start bundling my manicure posts. I will have all of my manicures from the past week shown in one post, like you see below.. I will still have some special nail posts when I want to go more in depth about something (like my upcoming post on Zoya Feifei and Zoya Daul). It's sort of like how I do "Friday Foodie". 

I'll also be featuring "Weekly Snapshots" posts to show glimpses of what I did that week, as a way of sharing more of my day to day life with you guys. I like a more organized look, I guess. I don't really like having one post outfit/nails/makeup all in it, I'd rather see separate posts so I'm going to try that. You'll see some new images for "What I Wore", "Outfits & Purchases" etc. You can still search by category using the links below my header. I want to be able to feature all of these things I love but in a more organized way. It was starting to feel pretty scattered! I hope you guys like the changes.

For this look I used Zoya "Kimber" as a base. It's pink with orange shimmer/flash. Love it. Then I freehanded some stripes and added these big silver studs that I found on Ebay. I like how bold this look is!

This is Kleancolour "Chunky Holo Purple" over top of Rimmel "Violet Metal". A very fun look but I'm not sure it was worth buying "Chunky Holo Purple" when I already have "Chunky Holo Bluebell". The base colours are different but they are so subtle that you can't tell once you layer this over another base colour.

 One of the selling points of A England "Saint George" for me was that it stamps so well. So hear I stamped it over top of Essie "Sew Psyched".  It really does stamp perfectly. And I love that the scattered holo really shows through.
