Ombre

I finally bought a new foot pedal for my sewing machine and was able to do some alterations. At the top of the list was this shirt.  I love the ombre effect!  Structured blouses never fit me quite right. A Medium will generally fit except in the torso where it is too wide. They also tend to be a bit short on me. So I took in the sides a bit but only a bit. I plan on picking up a more standard chambray shirt (I think every girl should own one!) that I can alter, just have to find one with a hidden outer seam.

Yeah, I should have moved my dog's food before snapping these pics. haha But yay V-Dog!

ps My butt is getting bigger. Yeah, squats!

Valentine's Day Outfits Looks1 & 2

I have two casual Valentine's Day appropriate outfits to share today! Tomorrow I'll share two more.

LOOK 1

This first look is super comfy cozy and would be great for curling up the couch with a good movie. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the store I got this sweater at! It was in an outlet mall by Cannery Row in Monterey, CA. It was all golf wear and no one in my family really golfs but they were having a huge sale so we took a look anyway.  We all ended up buying stuff!  I got this sweater for $12 regular....$72!!

This pink makeup look was inspired by this tutorial but I didn't follow it exactly.

LOOK 2

Now this look would be great for going out to a movie! I prefer pants in movie theaters so I can really curl up on the seat. A sweater is a must because I always find movie theaters too cold!

Photo Fail

These pictures are the result of a failed attempt at getting a nice family picture for Christmas cards this year haha The pets were just not having it! So I just got some of my outfit. We tried again the next day but ended taking one of just us two, no pets, and using that.

I used the Urban Decay* Vegan Palette on my eyes and Rimmel lipstick in "Alarm".

And here is our photo fail hahah

* Did you hear that L'Oreal bought Urban Decay? Ughhh. I'm sure Urban Decay will continue to not test on animals but I hope they don't continue to label any products as vegan because L'Oreal does test. So, Urban Decay won't be considered cruelty free any longer. Bummer.
