Makeup and Hair Challenge
Hair Look #1
Makeup Look #2
So for today's makeup I decided to give my Revlon cream eyeshadows another chance. They were really bad for smudging/creasing so I had stopped using them. Well, I didn't even use eye primer with this look and for some reason the eyeshadow stayed put! I did use a powder shadow as a base so I guess that helped.
I used a dark green cream shadow and a slanted brush to create winged eyeliner. I didn't wear any pencil liner today! I usually wear eyeliner every day, generally black, but I'm trying to break that habit. I'm using a darker mineral foundation now so my face looks more tanned in these pictures, haha. It's no darker than the rest of me though. Naturally, my face is paler because I always have sunscreen on it.
cheeks: Everyday Minerals Blush in B&B
eyeshadow: Cover Girl Eye Enhancers blue/green palette (lightest shade) and Revlon Illuminance Creme Shadow Frosted Glamor (dark green) as eyeliner
eyeliner: Mary Kay eyeliner in deep brown
lips: ELF gloss tube (clear)
mascara: M.A.C. Zoom Lash
brows: ELF Eyebrow Kit (it's all I ever use on my brows)
I got the hair idea from this tutorial. I have very thick, layered hair so braids can be tricky but this look grew on me as the day wore on.
These nails are so Barbie. hehe I love this bow design! It's from image plate m59; I got it from the Born Pretty store. Unfortunately, my tips are a mess! I attempted to use tape but have since learned that it works much better if you cut skinny strips vs using a whole wide piece.
Love the braid, it's so summery. :)
