cupcakebirthday

Today I'm having a beach BBQ with a bunch of friends to celebrate my 24th birthday (which is on Monday)! I'm excited! I'll try to take lots of pictures and post them here tomorrow.

I've been wanting to try a cupcake mani for a while but since I knew my birthday was approaching I decided to wait until then. I did it yesterday morning. I think it's so cute! The polishes weren't quite opaque enough (besides the brown) but otherwise I'm very happy. I really like the glitter sprinkles! This is actually pretty easy to do and I think it's good for beginners. I roughly used this as a guide so credit goes to her although I have seen this cupcake mani all over the internet (I forget where I first saw it. Somewhere on Tumblr)

polishes used (not pictures Zoya "Angel")
base Zoya "Angel"
sprinkles WnW "Party of Five Glitters"
cherry SH Hard as Nails "Cardinal"
dark purple SC "Let's Talk"
light purple Essence "No More Drama"
pink ELF "Bubblegum Pink"
green  Marina & Demme no name

brown Avon "Nocturnal"
white Marina & Demme no name

My feet look awful here because it was post-gym so they were hot/squished in my runners (I'm getting some "barefoot" ones soon, can't wait! Nike Shox suck) but I wanted to show off the holo-ness. I used my bottle without the steel balls in it so it wasn't shaken up well. It resulted in a much more grey application so the hot pink doesn't show through well.  Oh well.  Then I stamped it with flowers but it looks like Cheetah print, haha.
spectra flair top coat
stamping polish SC "What's Your Name" (apparently some Sinful Colors do work for stamping!)
base WnW "Fuschia Shock"

Lookie what I found at Target! I also had a coupon for $1 off. I loove these colours! I needed a green for stamping and this shade is gorgeous. I didn't have a baby pink (despite owning more pink than any other shade) that was just a solid creme and have been wanting one. Score! I hear these work well for stamping. My "Whirlwind White" does so let's hope! They're generally very opaque.
"Jade Jump" and "Pink Blink".  I love that the colour names are on top of the lid.

The pink is two coats but the green is only one!

As you can see, I have no dupes. these are just my light pinks. It's most similar to the "m+d" one but that polish has crappy application...I think the SH one is prettier anyway.

It's darker than Revlon "Minted" but lighter than SC "Mint Apple". It's GORGEOUS.
