fruitnails

I finally took some outfit pictures but I hated them. haha I'll just post these two. I wore a grey maxi dress with this scarf, basically.  I'll try to get more outfit pics this week! My husband is on leave (aka vacation) so I'm enjoying lots of time with him! Well, except today and tomorrow because he has a class to go to but still.  We had a fun weekend of parties, Horrible Bosses, movies and BBQ.

Here's this weeks Monday Mani. The theme was obviously fruit! I did watermelon and strawberry nails.  I got a ton of compliments on these! They're so summery and fun.
I'd already removed the watermelon stem, oops!
I kind of hate this green. I only use it for nail art a lot because it's my only true green polish or it was! I have a better green now. It was my first China Glaze and I was excited but it's so streaky, bleh. You can see it dented easily and stuff too!

Zoya "Maya"
SH Hard as Nails "Cardinal"
SH Insta-dri "Whiteout White"
Pure Ice "Black Rage"
China Glaze "Kiwi Cool-ada"

This is a simple look to do as far as directions go (easier said than done type deal) so I decided to just do these two drawing tutorials. They look like they were done by a 5 year old, yes. haha

1. Paint nail pink
2. Use tape or freehand to paint your tips white
3. Leaving a gap of white, paint your tips green
4. Add black dots for seeds

1. Paint nail red
2. Freehand green stem
3. Add white dots... or yellow because strawberry dots are yellow. I was not thinking. haha

  1. The China Glaze neons are an exception to the awesomeness of the brand. They are tough to work with and (most of them) need to be layered over white. That's most neons though. They turned out really cute!
