It had been a while since I did any frankening so last week when I was swatching them all I decided to create a few new ones. This is a common one as it is inspired by DL "Glitter in the Air". To make it, you just want a pale blue + glitter + clear nail polish.
This is two coats so it is very blue. I love the depth of the glitter. This is another favourite polish of mine! Frankening can be hit or miss but a few of them are in my top 10 favourite nail polishes so it feels pretty cool to know I made it (even if this one is not very unique haha). I may try just one coat of this next time so it's lighter. It applied sooo nicely! I had pretty much no cleanup. I only had it on for a few days but there were no chips or anything, it looked good as new!
The bottle was a SH Hard as Nails top/base coat bottle. You may notice the mood polishes at Rite Aid are the same bottle shape. It's annoying to use! Holding that little lid is a pain and the stick is super long. So I'm glad that this was still easy to apply. I wouldn't use these bottles for dark polishes though.
I named this 'Up!" like the movie because it reminds me of balloons in the sky. I just haven't labeled it yet.
my nails look short in this angle!
they're not though, see?
To make this I used white nail polish (WnW) + WnW "Party of Five" glitter + Milani Jewel FX "Gems" (just a little bit. It was mostly "Party of Five") + clear + blue.
wow what a great franken :D
ReplyDeleteVery pretty! I like that you used all different colors not just blue and pink.
ReplyDeleteThis is quite an original manicure! I'll have to try it sometime.
