bluenails

Remember how I said Wet n Wild "Teal of Fortune" dyed my nails/fingers? Well, I documented the process of trying to fix that problem so I could share it with all of you!

The problem:

After using acetone nail polish remover, I washed my hands and then applied some whitening tooth paste. I rubbed it into my cuticles and all over my nails/finger tips. I let it sit for about 5min but I ended up doing it twice so I would say just leave it on for 10 min, if you can.

I washed off the toothpaste and was pleasantly surprised.

There was still some stubborn stains on the nail beds so I took a buffer and gently used that. If you  have weak nail beds, you won't want to buff. Mine are fine. I buff them a few times a month to get rid of ridges anyway. So I buffed and then washed my hands again with soap.

The blue stained on my ring finger but other than that, it was completely gone!

For some reason, I decided to do blue nails again after this haha Don't worry, this one didn't stain. In fact, I rarely get stains (I always wear a base coat)..."Teal of Fortune" was a rare exception!

This is Funky Fingers "Volts" with the tips done in NYC "Starry Silver Glitter" which is a fantastic silver glitter with pink and blue hexagon shaped pieces in it! I actually have a back up bottle because I love it so much (plus I made some frankens with it so my first bottle is half gone). "Volts" is jelly-like and a bright vibrant shade of blue that I love!  I've done a mani like this before; I love it.
