I'm obsessed with tribal print right now! I'm not about to go out and buy a ton of tribal print clothes/accessories though so I think I will be rocking it on my nails a lot this Fall. I jumped the gun a bit yesterday and tried out a certain print on my ring fingers. Love!
The base is Zoya "Burke" which I got on clearance at Ulta quite a while ago. It has a very warm base. It looks pink in the bottle but goes on more red. I think these pictures are quite colour accurate, actually. I love Zoya but the application of "Burke" wasn't the best. It's thick and runny which I like but not opaque enough so it went on a bit patchy. This is two coats. You can't tell in the pictures really but in person, I can see that it's patchy. I also got some tip wear very quickly with this.
The hardest part about nail art is doing your opposite hand. This is my right hand and it's the accent finger isn't nearly as nice. I have decent control though so it's partly the fact that the polish did not dry well enough...so it's very thick and uneven.
I used this video for the print. The colours (in order) are China Glaze "Liquid Leather" (gorgeous in two coats but application is messy), Zoya "Melodie" (love this shimmery nude) and a franken called "Robyn" that I LOVE and wish I had made a fuller bottle of. I used a striping brush to do the lines.
I am a pretty lazy dresser in the summer, I'll admit. This outfit is no exception. I even have flip flops on! I did go to the pool right after though, which is why I am also waring a bikini top. I like this vintage look of this tank top. The shorts really are vintage. Their old Guess jeans that someone made into shorts. I got them at Goodwill and then altered them some more. They've gotten a bit big though so I guess I'll have to take my sewing machine to them again.
Also, I dropped my camera again and now it's worse than ever. :(
(shorts Forever21, top Target, sandals Old Navy, shorts thrifted)
No makeup other than mascara (falling in love with the blinc one!) and bright lipstick.

Very cute polish and I love your outfit!
