9/11/01. I don't think we have any trouble remembering that day. I think it's important to do so and to teach the younger generations because it was a big day in history that changed a lot of things but I also think it's important to look to the future. It makes me sad to see people posting pictures of planes hitting the buildings and men falling from them, images most of us have seen many times in the past 10 years. For some, that may be what they need to see but for me, images of the rebuilding and other such images of hope are what mean the most to me now. I want to see this country build itself back stronger and better, to see that we are kinder, more humble and more generous as a nation than before. The hatred, anger and disgust don't help propel us forward. As a military wife, I am reminded every day of the war this country is in so maybe that's why, for me, I like to remind myself of any bit of positivity in such a negative situation. Let's smile and think of how our country came together in that awful time, in a time where we could have fallen apart. Let's not talk about politics today but about the heroes of that day. Let's not feel hatred towards those who are to blame but pity. I pity anyone with that much hate in their heart; it's no way to live. I hope we can avoid that hate and instead feel the love we have for those who were lost, saved, hurt and forever changed on 9/11/01.

This purple is a franken of mine. Curiosity got the best of me and I wanted to see how "gLORIous" the holo top coat I have would do when combined/mixed into another polish. It's holo but more more subtle. Duly noted. I love dark purples so I love this. I used a lot of Rimmel London "Violet Metal" in here so it has a blue sheen to it which is nice.
Pieces of an outfit. Knitted cropped sweater. Floral mini dress. Scarf worn as head turban.
(top Target, dress Victoria's Secret)
Loving this post!
