In my September Birchbox I received a sample pack of these Incoco nail strips. I actually really like the ones I got. They're cheetah print but from a distance it's not super obvious. The gold/brown colour with the pink is really nice. There is gold glitter and then, like, a holo topcoat.
However, I could not get these to stick to my nails the way they were supposed to! I had no idea why but finally figured it must be because I opened the package (to get a closer look) a week or so before I actually used them. So, I think the sticky part dried out. I opted to do a coat of clear polish, sticker and top with clear again. It worked. I wore them from Thurs-Sun night. The stickers themselves lasted really well! I'd definitely buy these again, actually. They didn't fit my nails perfectly but well enough and I love the super clean lines they create. This was my first time using nail strips. I think they're great for traveling but at home, I've never wanted to spend the $8 or so dollars to wear them.
I have some nail foils from Born Pretty Store and recently ordered some off Ebay (for only $2 haha) so I'll try those out soon. I don't expect the quality to be great but if they last a few days I think it's worth it for the unique designs.
The weather here has been much cooler this week. You can see some sun here but the past few days have just been overcast. I'm not complaining. It's nice getting to wear sweaters!

Hello,
ReplyDeleteJust wanted introduce myself. My name is Maxine and I used to read your other blog. Although I am not a blogger myself I was just noticing that you follow some of the food blogs that I follow on my google reader but I wanted to recommend Ohsheglows.com to you. I don't know if you have read her blog or not but she is a vegan recipe blogger and she runs a vegan bakery and since you said you've been trying to eat more vegan, I thought you might like her. Bonus, she is Canadian too!
Sorry I posted this^^ on the wrong post. I meant to post it on your post about blog changes.
