We, along with most of California, Tijuana and some Arizona has a 12 hour power outage last night! Not crazy long but longer than most people are used to, I think. So I had to end a 5 day juice fast I was on, bummer, but I made it almost 4 days. You can read about it on my Tumblr. My husband and I used our BBQ to cook up dinner. We also filled the bathtub in case water ran out and lit a lot of candles. My husband was told if it wasn't back on my 7am that he didn't have to go to work but of course it came on at 2 or 3 am. haha
Anyway, I wish so badly that I was witnessing NYFW firsthand right now. It's on my bucket list. I am vicariously living through all the lucky fashion bloggers that are there! hehe I always pour over the collections on Style.com though so I thought I'd share some of my favourites so far.

NYFW Spring 2012
LoOove the color blocking and tribal prints here. Glad that trend is stickign around! The muted colours are gorgeous too.
Fun prints! I'm all over that sheer blouse trend so I'm glad it's sticking around. I have never seen a cable knit sweater print before, wow!
Gorgeous colours. It feels very Fall with some of the burnt orange/yellow/red shades.
It looks like someone raided the cliche grandpa closet and then tailored the clothes to fit a woman. Absolutely love it.
I haven't seen too many real new trends so far. Maxi skirts, cable knit, sheer fabrics, trousers, color blocking... all trends we've been seeing for a while. However, I adore them so I'm happy to see they will be around for longer!

I'm sure the BBQ was a fun way to make dinner anyways. In England there'd be no space for us to whip out a grill and cook outside.
ReplyDeleteCBG's collection is awesome ;)
