Dark Lips and UD Vegan Palette

I have some new beauty goodies to share! My Urban Decay vegan palette kit arrived along with a free sample size lipstick. I also picked up two dark NYC lipsticks to try.  I was inspired by this picture:

and MAC lip pencil in Beet.

I picked up these two for 98cents at Walmart (later saw they are only 69cents at CVS right now but oh well). 522A and 552A.  522A is a very dark red, very vampy looking. I love it! I thought  maybe it'd look too dark but I find reds pretty easy to wear. 552A has a bit more of a dark pink look so if you prefer pinks you may want it. I prefer reds, I think they flatter me more, but I like both lipsticks. They take a bit more time to apply since they are so dark. I find they wear decently but come off when you eat. I wore one out yesterday and just carried a lip balm to apply over it, to make sure it faded evenly, which it did. I re-applied it once on the train with no problem.

Here's the Urban Decay vegan palette. I'm soo in love with it! It's awesome pigmented and the colours stay put VERY well. I wore some all day yesterday w/ primer and they didn't budge. The eye liner goes on super smooth. It did move a bit but was easily fixed. I don't think I will use the primer so no review on that. I'm sure it's great but I already have a Benefit one (Stay Don't Stray) that I use. When that's gone I want to try one like this.

this is the back of the plastic packaging but I wish they had this on the back of the palette because I am not going to remember the eyeshadow names!

I love the colours. I wear browns most often. The green and teal are nice pops of colour. The dark blue is great for a smokey eye or eyeliner.

It came with a free lipstick sample in "Jilted". It's cute! I really like the colour a lot, it's a vibrant pink. It tastes awful though!! I'll still wear it but I have to be careful not to accidentally lick my lips or else yuck! It does stay on very nicely though.
