Makeup Haul

I definitely thought I had posted this outfit before but apparently not! Oops. This is how I managed to wear ankle boots on a fairly hot day, haha.

(top + shoes Old Navy, skirt Target)

Here are some new makeup purchases. I haven't been buying much  but these were all great deals. I keep telling myself to stop buying so much cheap makeup because I want to buy more natural stuff though! Well, the Almay one is more natural, I guess. Anyway, let's have a look....

I got a $5 off coupon for Sally Beauty for filling out a survey so I opted to get some Sally Girl stuff. I had heard good things about this eyeshadows. They snap together except the first one doesn't fit...I hadn't noticed it had a different texture/appearance at first. They must have an old and new line, or something. Oh well! I got a variety of colours.

L - R:  Dusty Rose, Charcoal, Aqua, Olive.

Dusty Rose

I like them. The colours are really nice. You do have to apply a lot to get a real pop though. They aren't super pigmented. Perhaps they'd pop a bit more with a primer, I haven't tried that. I have done a few looks with these though and enjoyed them! They are 94cents with a Sally Beauty card or 99cents without.

Next, I spent a $3.50 off $5 coupon at Ulta on these two lipsticks and a polish. I have been wanting to buy these for a while! They have awesome reviews. I think they are $5.99 each.  They are AWESOME. They are truly matte but wear very soft and don't feel dry at all...no need for a balm or gloss on top. I found they lasted really well on my lips and were easy to apply. My only complaint is that there doesn't seem to be a ton of product in the tube but it's hard to tell...plus I rarely use up makeup so it could very well last me a while.

the shades I got
elf "Birthday Suit", NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream "Amsterdam" and "Addis Ababa"
Smudged. I have to say though that the NYX ones lasted really well on my lips although they don't necessarily fade evenly. You would want to reapply it after eating.

This is my second elf matte lip gloss. I like them because they are matte and the colours are nice but they are dry. Plus, I wish they came with a balm not a gloss. Why would I want a shiny gloss over a matte lipstick? Sort of defeats the whole matte idea. They do last pretty long. I generally just apply a lip balm on top.  I got this one at Big Lots. It was marked down to 97cents and then was an additional 20% off. They are normally $3 because they are a part of the elf studio line. Target sells them.

Also at Big Lots, I picked up a few Almay natural eyeshadows. This were marked down to 27 cents and then an additional 20% off. INSANE. These were the only shades they had.  I really like them!  I always love brown/gold shades. The silver is nice and light and unique to my collection.

Almay Pure Blends "Steel", "Cinnamon", "Apricot"

I also got an elf brightening eye colour palette. I have two others. They are fairly pigmented. I just wish they came in a bigger package because it's hard to get a lot on a brush/finger/etc. You do have to build them up a fair bit to get a ton of colour. I used, like, 4 layers here.
