31 Day Nail Challenge
For yellow nails I wanted to use an untried polish, Nina Ultra Pro "Like Butter". I got it on sale for $2.99. I'd never tried this brand (kind of boring bottles and common colours). Yellows are finicky and this one did take three coats but it was fully opaque with no streaking or VNL, so yay! I'm loving this yellow. It's a deep yellow which always reminds me of the 40's for some reason.

Then I added a coat a Hard Candy mini polish I recently picked up. This is the yellow glitter. It's gold glitter in a yellow jelly base. Trick is to apply it thick or else the brush drags although top coat evens it all out. I'm still using Color Club 0-60 Speed Top Dry top coat but I added some thinner to it because it thickened up over time. I sometimes use the Revlon Quick Dry top coat which naturally has a thinner application.
I'd say the pic above is most true to colour
looks more orange above; not very colour accurate!
Want to see some yummy vegan things I made/ate this week?
lasagna! inspired by this recipe but I halved it, used spinach instead of red pepper and kept the meat & sauce separate. I unfortunately didn't have enough sauce but it's still sooo delicious!
SoDelicious soy ice cream by Turtle Mountain. OMG this was good. My first soy ice cream! I love that it uses such natural ingredients, you can really taste the difference. This was better than any dairy neopolitan ice cream I've had!
pumpkin bread. holy crap this is good. I ate almost half the loaf in ONE night *gulp* so I stuck the rest in the freezer until my husband gets home this weekend. haha
