Outfit: Romper

I wore this new jumper on Saturday to a beer festival with my husband which was so much fun! It was a pretty hot day and this romper was perfect (until I got into a very hot porta potty and it took forever to get it off hahah). I really love rompers, have for years, but hadn't owned one in a while. Being tall and having a larger chest just makes finding a romper that fits tricky. I actually sized up for this one. It has a draped style so I felt it still worked!

Purchases: April

Oops, went over budget! I haven't bought any skirts in a while so I'm still hoping to find some. I did get some shorts which is good because most of mine from last year no longer fit (thanks weightlifting haha). Of course, I had to get new sandals. hehe I'm a sucker for strappy sandals! Our Summer lasts all the way until October though so they get plenty of wear time.

April Spending:
$135 budget
Twice Topshop shorts $9
Twice Jessica Simpson shorts $3
Wet Seal Mean Girls tops $15 & $5 on sale
Target shoes $18 after coupon
Ross flats $16
Closet linen pants $15
AE bandanas $4 x2
Target tribal print maxi skirt $17
= $214
+ 79 over  (May budget will be $121)

Outfit: Peplum

Finally, a peplum top that is long enough for me! That's thanks to Old Navy's "tall" section online.

Well, that "Winter storm" (y'know, my Southern California standards) passed and the weather is definitely feeling more Spring like. I even unpacked some of my shorts and tank tops!

Outfit: Rainboots

We don't get a whole lot of rain in Southern California so when we do you know I just have to wear my rainboots! I actually bought them while living here which is sort of funny since I previously lived in WA State and BC, Canada where there is a lot more rain.  They were less than half the price of Hunters so I was able to justify it to myself. hehe

Also, this scarf is like a small blanket. Loves it. I switched into comfier boots and wore this to see Non-Stop with some girl friends.  If you want a great "who done it" action movie, definitely see it! We really enjoyed it.

Outfit: New Jeggings

I bought yet another pair of AE jeggings haha These are definitely a favourite! They are so comfortable and I love the high rise. I probably need the extra long length though. Even on my 5'10 frame they are a bit too long, really. I think I'm up to 5 pairs of these jeans now?  I'm in need of new shorts so I'm thinking I'll give those a try once Spring arrives. Do you have a brand of jeans you tend to stick to?

Subtle Camo

Camo print is one of those things I didn't think would ever grow on me. I've just always found it to be pretty ugly (I mean the trend, not the military uniforms) but I have to say, over the past year it has been growing on me! Still, every time I tried it on I felt a bit weird. It reminded me too much of my husband's uniform. So when I spotted these with their much more subtle pattern, I was thrilled! I do wish they had more stretch like some of the other AE jeggings but I'm still quite happy with them! I love the waxed look and the fact that they work as a neutral.

Winter?

I'm pretty much living in jeans lately and my favourites are the AE jeggings. Seriously, give them a try if you haven't yet! They are super on sale right now too (online).

It was pretty warm out the other day but according to the weather woman I just saw on TV, winter weather has officially arrived. haha Sounds good to me! It was chilly today and I loved it. I definitely miss real winters (you know, with snow and stuff).

AE jeggings (50% off right now!)
