Halloween!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

I made some pretty last minute Halloween plans this year but they ended up being a lot of fun! Can't go wrong with booze, girl friends and dancing right?  I'd decided a week or so ago that I really wanted to be a zombie and do gross makeup, so that's what I did! 

I bought a basic Halloween makeup kit and used this and this tutorial for makeup application tips! I was really happy with how it turned out. The blood and makeup on my eyelids didn't want to stay put so it definitely wore off through out the night but thankfully this is a look where the "worse" it gets, the better it is haha 

 My outfit was inspired by a Evil Dead musical I saw in Vegas because one of the zombies in it wore something similar.

 I did two more Halloween manicures this week. The bloody one I wore on Halloween since it worked well with my costume!

This is My Zombie Killing Shirt

I ordered this awesome shirt not too long ago from LOLShirts. It was way big on me though and oversized is trickier to pull off when you have my build (tall, hourglass) so I decided to do some alterations. I simply laid a small shirt that fit on top and used that as a guideline. Then I cut off the sleeves to where the seam was. The sleeve poke out a bit funny though so I think I will fix them so lay flat, like a cap sleeve.

Not the best pictures but I really felt like it was a fun outfit. I felt a bit like a comic book character between the shirt, pop of red and chunky wedge sneakers.

The shirt. I have a bit of a zombie obsession. I have books, movies, toys, video games etc The Walking Dead is my favourite drama.  It's weird though because I'm not at all into horror/gore in any other way, like I hate that kind of movie unless it's zombie-related.  *Shrug*  It's a very appropriate shirt to wear while I play Dead Island though. haha

On crazy hot days I like to just put on mineral foundation, creme blush, a bit of highlighter, mascara and something on my lips. It takes me all of 5 seconds and I'm not worried about sweating it off. Plus I tend to think a very natural look looks best when it's super hot out; anything else can look too made up during the day.  I don't feel that way when it's not above 90F though. haha And that's just living here, in San Diego. I suppose if I lived in Florida or something I may feel differently!

 I finally trimmed my bangs enough to not be in the way!
