My husband left today, for 6 weeks. We're used to having to be apart so that's not really a big deal. The big deal is what he's doing! He will be in North Carolina for Marsoc selection. Marsoc is the Marine Corp's branch of SOCOM special forces. It's really really hard to be selected ie accepted into it. He hasn't even started yet and I'm already feeling so anxious waiting to find out if he gets selected!! You have to make it through a ton of physical and mental tests (like mock torture, 3 day (non stop) hikes etc)... and even then, you might not get chosen. Obviously we're hoping he does though; it'll be a big life change! So if you, my lovely readers, can send some positive good luck vibes his way I'd appreciate it. :)
I always make a mental "to do" list when my husband is gone. It just helps the time to go by faster. Here are a few things on it..
- Girls Night Out (I organized it... it's either next Mon or Thurs at El Torito)
- watch girly movies. Tonight it's Sex and the City 2
- 4 week diet. I'm doing the one from Whole Living magazine. link
- buy a toaster oven.
- organize clothes to donate.
- go through ALL paper... organize + buy filing system.
- throw stuff out. In case he gets selected and we move in March, I want to be prepared.
- sell/donate stuff.

Oh, my.Kudos to you for being such a trooper with your hubby gone for 6 weeks! To do lists are a great way I imagine to get through it. I wish you the best of luck and I love your boots:)
