Shiro Cosmetics Review

I have a review for you today! I know, it has been a while. I'd seen this product pop up on a few blogs and really wanted to give them a try!  The brand is Shiro Cosmetics. It is 100% vegan and uses natural ingredients. I love that the ingredients list and short and simple!  I bought the Intertubes in four shades. They come in multiple sizes. This is the size "mini" which is 4 grams and comes in a tin for $5. You can also get sample sizes as well as full sizes.

The pigmentation on these is amazing so I went with some bold shades. Pigmentation wise I'd say they are comparable to OCC lip tars but the product itself is quite different. These look and feel like a balm when you put them on, sorta like Vaseline. The first layer is more sheer but you can apply more to build up opacity and it won't feel like you are wearing anything too thick. I find they apply well with both your finger or a lip brush. A lip brush gives me more of a defined, opaque look where as with my finger I have more leeway. These do last a while and as you'll see below, they stain slightly which is something I personally like. Because they can be sheer, they are easy to apply on the go! I would say my only complaint is that they can be a bit drying and you have to make sure you have very smooth lips when applying them or else the pigment will be patchy and stick to any dry skin.

Shiro Cosmetics have a "nerd" theme going on so everything is named after some sort of character, movie reference etc. hehe

From top left to bottom right:

I am going to include the description straight from the website because they are great! They give you a good idea of what to expect from the product.

We're no strangers to love
You know the rules, and so do I
A great lip color's what I'm thinking of
You wouldn't get this from any other guy

Color: Red-orange; can appear coral.
Flavor: Ginger. Contains real ginger oil; may cause mild stinging or a 'plumping' effect.
Opacity: May be applied sheer or built up to moderate opacity.
Stains: Yes - please keep away from upholstery and small children!

Ingredients*: shea butter, organic jojoba oil, candelilla wax, vitamin E, red #6, red #27, yellow #6, castor oil, mica, carnauba wax, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide, ginger oil.

Vegeta! What does the scouter say about that lip product's awesomeness level?!

Color: Bold pink, a shade or two darker than bubblegum. You'll want to wear it at least 9001 times.
Flavor: Grapefruit.
Opacity: May be applied moderately opaque or built up to complete opacity.
Stains: Yes - please keep away from upholstery and small children!

Ingredients*: shea butter, organic jojoba oil, candelilla wax, vitamin E, red #27, castor oil, mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide, grapefruit oil.

Whenever you apply this lip color, you must preface the application by bellowing, "ALRIGHT CHUMS, LET'S DO THIS." I don't care where you are or what company you are keeping; this is a rule. Enjoy.

Color: Pale pinky-lavender (similar to the text color used for the Paladin class) with subtle blue interference and gold sparks.
Flavor: Spearmint. I know chicken would have been more meme-appropriate, but chicken is a terrible flavor for a lip product. Contains real spearmint oil; may cause mild stinging or a 'plumping' effect.
Opacity: May be applied moderately opaque or built up to complete opacity.
Stains: Yes - please keep away from upholstery and small children!

Ingredients*: shea butter, organic jojoba oil, candelilla wax, vitamin E, red #27, blue #1, castor oil, mica, titanium dioxide, iron oxide, tin oxide, silica, calcium aluminum borosilicate, spearmint oil.

That's as many as four tens! Fortunately, this lip color is in no way as terrible as Lex Luthor's deeds.

Color: Bright hot pink.
Flavor: Unflavored.
Opacity: May be applied sheer or built up to moderate opacity.
Stains: Yes - please keep away from upholstery and small children!

Ingredients: shea butter, organic jojoba oil, candelilla wax, vitamin E, castor oil, iron oxide, red #27

Shiro Cosmetics also included two free eyeshadow samples! Who doesn't love that?

Remake is from the The Tributes (Hunger Games!) collection and is described as "Shimmery gold-bronze with purple sparks."  Are You Sherr You Wanna Enchant That? is from "The Randomly Generated" collection and is described as "Dark brown-plum with bright white and blue sparks."

These are swatched on BARE skin, no primer. With primer, they would be even more opaque! I was very impressed by the pigmentation of these and they are gorgeous shades.

Here are a couple looks I did using one or both of these eyeshadows.

Using "Remake"
Using both "Remake" and "Are You Sherr You Wanna Enchant That?"

These are a few other eyeshadow shades I'd love to get my hands on! So perfect for Fall/Winter...
