Beckett: 6 Months

As you can see, little dude loves to be entertained! He's sitting up on his own now and has started eating some food.  Mostly purrees. I love the concept behind BLW but it does scare me a little bit, I'll admit. I just worry that he will choke (even though I do steam the veggies so that they are soft). 

My baby just seems much older all of a sudden! He's so curious.

He loves new places and being around people or outside.  He does not love his crib and sleep training sucks haha He's a pretty chill baby, kinda goes with the flow.  He was taking these really long afternoon naps but now 30min naps are more of his thing.  I finally got him into a better early bed time routine (7:30pm) and am working on not nursing him to sleep (another tough task!). 

My husband is working 70+ hours a week right now so Beckett doesn't see him every day so when he does, he's SO excited... like he can't even sleep haha It's cute.

I could go on and on, of course.  I love him to pieces and am so proud to be his mama! 

Beckett: 5 Months

Month 4 was a big one. My teeny newborn has grown into this infant who is silly and curious and interested in everything. It's kind of amazing! That fourth trimester was a profound time for me as a new mom but what a joy it is to watch Beckett grow and learn!

 - grabs his feet (sometimes eats them haha)

- laughs at funny sounds and at the pets

- easily distracted/entertained

- still sleeping with me at night

- very interested in food

- wearing 6-9 month clothes

- weighs 19lbs!

- very good at finding his toys and picking them up

- sleeps longer stretches at night

- side nurses at night (usually twice)

Beckett: 4 Months

This little love of mine! He's becoming so silly and curious. He makes me so happy every day.  And yes, he looks just like his daddy haha

- laughs a lot

- can put soother in mouth

- sleeps beside me
- likes to sleep on his side with my arm as a pillow

- makes a wide variety of noises
- likes to yell
- always laughs when the cat or dog looks at him
- rolls over from back to tummy
- can sorta do the inchworm crawl
- eats ever 2-3 hours
- wakes twice at night to eat but goes right back to sleep

Beckett: 3 Months

- Usually in bed by 8:30

- Falls asleep in his bed but co-sleeps after his first feeding

- Eats at least 3x at night

- Often sleeps for 4hrs followed by 2-3 hour stretches

- Generally up at 7am

- Always falls asleep in the stroller and car

- Went from eating every hour to every 2-3 hours

- Went through a phase where he only wanted mom 

- Wears an amber necklace most days

- Does not enjoy when the dog barks loudly or husband sneezes 

- Enjoys bath time but not the getting changed afterwards part

- Enjoys silly sounds more so than silly faces now

Beckett: 2 Months

2 months old! This past month Beckett got to meet some more family. He hadn't been held by anyone other than my husband and I since he was a day old so it was a fairly new experience for him! He did really well though. He's very interested in people now.  It's so cute to see him stare at someone (like a cashier in a grocery store) and react to them.  He's definitely becoming much more interactive which is fun! He generally likes to be in motion so there's lots of bouncing, walking, standing etc going on here. haha

2 months:

- Coos a lot more (ooh, ahh, ga, ma)

- Reacts to people's facial expressions and sounds

- Follows people/objects with his eyes

- Enjoys his activity mat and hitting the toys

- Loves to be held so that he's standing or sitting upright

- Enjoys being held up in the air

- Sucks on his hands a lot

- Loves to kick and push things with his feet

- Likes his Wubbanub soother

- Asleep in his cosleeper crib around 9:30pm and up at 7am (sometimes 6am or 8am)

- Still sleeps swaddled in Miracle Blanket
