Sporty

I somehow found myself in Old Navy yesterday. Again. Upside is I now have $30 Old Navy cash to spend at the end of the month and I bought my husband quite a bit of stuff.  Yesterday I scored these shoes and sweater for under $10 each.  The sneakers are actually quite comfortable. I've been wanting something casual just for walking around or even weight lifting. I wouldn't run in these. They have a bit of a platform but no arch, so I like that. I wear New Balance Minimus runners because I prefer that barefoot feel.  Anyway, I threw together this sporty look and it felt very me.

The sweater had neon bits of pink/green/yellow.

Blue Shoes

I started taking yoga classes a few weeks ago and the girl who teaches on Wednesdays is tough! I'm always shaking, sweating and sore the next day. haha I love it though. I'm a total noob but I am glad I finally started going to the classes. It's such a unique workout and I feel so differently doing it than I do during my other exercises. Have you picked up any new hobbies/interests lately?

Yeah that has nothing to do with this outfit.

Sugar High

I wore this to Starbucks where I met up with friends and took advantage of Starbuck's happy hour with a half priced frapp. A grande soy green tea frapp no whip to be exact. I only indulged once despite it being a great deal because, um, have you seen how much sugar is in those things? Like over 100 grams in a grande! Insane.

Show Some Leg

It's starting to feel like Spring around here! Bare legs, baby. It's that sort of 70F with a breeze weather where you want some skin showing but not too much, you know? I've been reaching for shorts and warmer tops but I also got my Summer dresses out of storage (aka a box under my bed) so I think I'll start pairing them up with light jackets! Before I know it, it'll be too hot out any sort of sleeves or layering.

ps. A bit obsessed with wearing scarves this way right now.

Floral Peplum

A simple outfit from last week. I'm really into sneakers lately. With the weather slowly warming up, they become my comfortable go to shoe when I have a lot of walking to do, instead of boots. The weather here is surprisingly cold still but it's supposed to hit the 80's this weekend! That'll be nice. I foresee a trip to the beach in my near future.

I accidentally labeled two of my pictures with where the items are from. haha Is Tuesday morning brain a legit excuse?

ps. How cute is this Free People video showing off their February new arrivals? It's like a mini movie. It makes me want to dress in flowy clothes, don a hat, twirl around outside and make out with my husband. Gorgeous couple too. I've been crushing on him since I started watching Girls!

Stripes

I picked up this top using a $6 off coupon from the app Wrapp, at H&M. You can send people free gift cards! I didn't try it on so thankfully it fits. I like the sort of a-line drape it has but I dislike that it's always riding up over my boobs so I keep tugging it down. haha

I love these headbands one of my sisters made me for Christmas. They are so comfortable! I plan on making some myself. Here's the tutorial link. Oh and the lipstick is NYX "Eros".

Bombshell in Denim

For a bombshell look I loosely followed this tutorial which is for Meghan Fox makeup. When I think of "bombshell", Victoria's Secret definitely comes to mind but I decided to go with a Meghan Fox look. I think she is sort of like an edgier bombshell! I did smokey golden brown eyes, some false lashes (which kept clumping so I didn't end up wearing them post-photos) and a "bitten" stained lip which I got by layering a glossy pencil over a lip balm/gloss.

Face:
Milani blush in Temptation
elf Studio Blush & Bronzer
elf Studio Conceal & Highlight
elf Studio Brow Kit

Eyes:
Ardell individual  lashes
elf Liquid Eyeliner in Black
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Liner in Stash
elf Mineral Eyeshadow in Golden
theBalm Meet Matt(e) palette (for brown and beige)
elf Studio Palette in Cool (for gold shades and matte brown)

Lips:
Befine lip serum

Stumbled across these super stretchy and tight jeans (does that make them jeggings? They still look more like pants) at Old Navy recently, on clearance for $18. I'd been wanting some just like this, in this wash, so of course I haaad to buy them. haha I wore them to a friend's welcome home party (he was deployed to Afghanistan as a Marine) even though it was, like 90F out.

Funniest thing about these shoes is that men always compliment me on them. I even had some random guy say "I like your shoes" when I was out walking my dog one day.  I guess they like the sneaker look!  Normally it's women who compliment my shoes, not men.
