SoCal Winter

I figured I should wear something besides pants for a change. I've had this dress foreverrrr.  Like 6 years forever.  It's from Superstore (sorta like Target) so I'm sure it wasn't more than $25 but it has lasted so well.

I was definitely in the mood for layering on this particular day. It finally feels like Winter here! Well, SoCal Winter anyway. I wore this to hang out with some friends while one of them got their car fixed.  We went to a brewery (of course) and played some Mario on the Wii U.  Will I ever not love playing Mario?  I doubt it.

Let's Fly

Right now I am hopefully up high in the air, flying to San Jose! Here are a few pictures I took yesterday before I went and finally got my bangs trimmed. Also, I have had this dress for, like, 6 or 7 years. haha It's that Joe brand from Superstore; impressive that it has held up so well! I have taken it in at the sides as I've lost weight but that's it.

No Bare Legs

Two outfits I wore when the weather was slightly cooler but still sunny. Well, it's usually sunny here but hey. Basically, lately, we'll have a few days of hot sunny 85F weather and then a few days of cooler cloudy 65F days.  Not bad, I guess.  I prefer the cooler days now. I mean, it's November!

Also, I finally got an iPhone today! No, not the 5. I just got the 4 haha It was free since I had an upgrade with Verizon. My old phone wasn't a smartphone or at all fancy. Plus it was literally falling apart. So I finally bit the bullet. My husband got one too (his dad gave him his old one). So, you know, we're like a real part of society now. Psh.

OTK Socks

Feels like Fall today. :) Trying to make the most of it since next weekend is supposed to  be hot again.

OTK socks and sweater dresses are one of my favourite things to wear in the Fall. These socks are new, from Target, and are sooo comfortable but unfortunately they fall down aka don't like to stay over my knees.  Figures!
(all from Target! Oh except the earrings are Christy Robinson)

Makeup challenge is over but I still plan on sharing some looks I do! Here is one I did today. I used matte shades except for the inner corner which is a sparkly gold.

30for30:10

Day 10

I'm really trying to be creative with my 30 for 30 outfits, pairing pieces I've never worn together before. This outfit is a good example of that.  I hadn't thought to wear this skirt over my sweater dress before! It was very very snuggly.  This skirt was a $3 sales find at Old Navy YEARS ago and I still wear it. It's a bit big now so I need to take it in but it's very versatile.  Versatile + inexpensive = shopping wish come true.

Yeah, I did the socks with the boots two days in a row.

Sometimes my dog just gets in the way during pictures. haha

What are you listening to lately?
I got a few new albums on Zune last night.  Very common, overly hyped stuff but I like it.  I got the new albums from Train, Taylor Swift, Rihanna (I used to hate her music! It really grew on me) and Katy Perry.  I wanted Glee but you have to pay extra.  My husband already has a lot of bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Muse and City and Color on his Zune (we use it in the car) so I had to add some "Top 40" to the mix. :P I listen to a wide variety of artists but have no shame in admitting my love for someone like Katy Perry, not sure why people get so snotty about music sometimes.

Day 9

Okay, in hindsight, this sweater was a little too bulky for this look. It's actually my husband's sweater but he has never worn it (it was a Christmas gift from me years ago) so I adopted it as my own. It's comfortable and warm. I love mens clothing on women but I have a very feminine build so it doesn't work on me 90% of the time.  Still, I wanted to try this look because it had been floating around in my head for a while.

I'm also a little obsessed with pairing my Aldo ankle boots with sheer socks.

(sweater Old Navy, dress worn as skirt Victoria's Secret, shoes Aldo, socks Ebay, belt Charlotte Russe)

I have to say, I'm really loving this 30 for 30 challenge.  I haven't been missing my other clothes like I thought I would!  Not shopping isn't even too bad since Christmas is fast approaching.

Day 2

Two quick pictures my sister snapped on her iPhone. :) I later swapped the purple socks for sheer black ones but no pictures of that, sorry!

My face looks weird because I was blinded by the sun, hahah.

5 hour road trip tomorrow!  November 10th is the United States Marine Corps birthday which is always celebrated with a very formal ball!  It'll only be my second time wearing a floor length gown...the first being my wedding. haha I'm very excited.  We're driving to Primm, Nevada with my sister and her boyfriend (also a Marine) for it and then spending two nights.  Yay!

My dog was definitely staring at that other dog.
