Outfit: Midi Skirt

These pictures are from a few weeks ago. Pretty sure that skirt won't fit now, haha. It's not maternity but it's so cute, I couldn't resist it! I love the length.

I'm still missing my camera battery charger... ugh. Preggo brain makes it impossible to find things, I swear!  I had to buy a new laundry card this week because I couldn't for the life of me find ours.

Outfit: Maternity Shorts

I've been taking more outfit pictures lately and really enjoying getting dressed each day. This bump will only be around for a few months so I want to embrace it while I can!

I ordered these shorts from ASOS recently and love them! They are crazy comfortable and will be great as the weather warms up. I think I'll be able to wear them once the bump is gone too which is great.

Outfit: New Kicks

I've had my eye on these shoes for quite a while so when I realized that they are only $45 on Amazon ($70 everywhere else!), I decided to go for it. They aren't a shoe that I'd run in but for walking they are great. I love the pop of leopard!  As much as I love the look of heels, I've mostly accepted that they just aren't very practical for my lifestyle.  Shoes like this definitely get a lot more wear!

The shoes are man-made materials unlike some of the New Balance ones which use suede. I can't say for sure that they are 100% vegan because I don't know about the glue. I generally just check the shoe material when shopping.

Outfit: Black and White

This is the sweater I swapped out the other black and white one in my capsule wardrobe for. So cozy! I love a printed sweater.  I also bought another pair of these leggings since mine were pretty faded and because I'm wearing them to death. haha

Also, these socks are SO comfy. I found  them in store at Target in the active department. They are the C9 brand. I bought them for our upcoming trip to Canada because I don't own many pairs of warm socks but find myself wearing them  a lot here just because of how comfortable they are.

Outfit: Living in Leggings

I really wanted a black and white open sweater in my capsule wardrobe so I included this one but knew I'd replace it with one I liked more eventually. So this sweater is now out and a new one is in. Still, this outfit formula has been used a lot lately. I'm kind of living in leggings on days I don't work! The Victoria's Secret ones are actually awesome maternity leggings if you wear the band unfolded!

Outfit: Sweater Cape

I recently broke my camera so I've been using an old one and let's just say it's less than great. So apologizes for the picture quality lately and the lack of outfit posts.

Anyway, this sweater cape is one of the favourite things I own. Maybe because I don't own any other capes. Maybe because it's like wearing a blanket.  I'm not sure but two thumbs up for sure. I wore it unbuttoned here because otherwise it was just too hot. Dang heat wave!!

^ Thanks for the whited out face, camera.

Outfit: Plaid Scarf

I know everyone is obsessed with that plaid Zara scarf but... well, okay, I am too but this smaller sized plaid one from Target is a pretty great alternative I think!  It instantly makes any outfit a little more interesting plus it pairs with Fall colours so well.  I wouldn't mind snatching up this red/grey version as well.

Outfit: Heat Wave

So who else is dying in this heat wave? Ugh. So over it! It's zapping my energy and I'm falling behind on school work. I think today I'm going to play catch up at Starbucks where the AC is stronger.

I started working at Old Navy this week! So far so good. I'm pretty excited to get my employee discount card. haha You can fully expect the majority of my clothes this Fall/Winter to come from Old Navy, Gap, Banana Republic etc.

Outfit: Comfortably Pulled Together

Thought I'd share two outfits today since I don't have a ton of pictures.  Summer is still in full swing here and will be for a while so you can all just shush with your "unofficial Fall" posts, haha.

First look has kind of been my Summer uniform, I feel like. Printed shorts and a basic top. I love that this peplum top really pulls a look together! Even though I'm really just wearing sandals, shorts and a tank here it isn't AS casual as denim shorts and a cotton tee.

Again, another very comfortable look that feels pulled together. That's generally what I aim for. I don't really like to be very dressed up; I'm too practical for that and my lifestyle is very casual. But I'm also not just a "jeans and tshirt" girl.  This is just a maxi and a tshirt but the pop of blue and sheer fabric plus the knotted top all give it more visual interest.
