Outfit: Sole Society

I've had my eye on these shoes from Sole Society for so long and was seriously considering purchasing them along with the pair you see below but I kept hesitating on whether or not I wanted to spend the money.  And then I won a $100 Sole Society gift card from Penny Chic!  Whaaa!  So of course I snapped up both pairs. I also got 20% off (for it being my first purchase) and free shipping so I only paid like $4 out of pocket!

They definitely need some breaking in but they are super cute. I was just reading in this months issue of In Style that flat pointed shoes are super "in" this year.  Win.

Confession

Confession: these pants don't fit.  haha  There is some muffin top going on behind the scenes here.  You see, I used to  not have much of an ass and so when I bought pants, I would take them in along the thighs and sometimes all the way up to the waistband (my sewing skills are minimal but I can do this haha).  Well, now thanks to lifting weights I have developed more of an ass which is AWESOME but it means those pants I altered are now feeling preeeetty tight! Of course I didn't think to leave room to let them back out again.  Oh well.  I have bought a few new pairs of pants recently because I am really not one to squeeze myself into something... I just made an exception with this outfit. Shh.

Pink

Quite a bit of pink going on here! Most of the pink I own, actually, because I don't own a lot. I'm pretty girly so I guess it's a bit odd that I don't own more of it? I don't know. Pink is not really a popular colour this time of the year but I thought I'd give it some love.

It was drizzling a bit while I was taking these pictures which means I had the whole park to myself (and my dog who I let wander around since it was empty). That's a plus of living in SoCal. People tend to stay indoors when it "rains". When it rains hard, a lot of people here don't even like to drive. hehe Although, in their defense, because it's more desert-like here, the ground really floods when it rains so it is a bit more hazardous, I guess. This playground is literally next door to where I live. There is also a big soccer type field, basketball court etc It's where I take a lot of my pictures since it is so close by.

(Target boots (I have them in black a well) + jeans same brand but a different print + tshirt in different colours (I have this tshirt in probably 6 colours!).

I'm excited for date night with my husband tonight. We generally go on a date every weekend but quite often it's the "same old thing". Nothing wrong with that but tonight we are mixing things up! I bought him tickets to The Comedy Palace for his birthday back in August so we plan on going there to see Thai Rivera. I YouTubed (that's a word, sure) im hand he's pretty hilarious. I think we're going to eat at Spritz first, an all vegetarian (mostly vegan) restaurant. It even has vegan desserts! I always get excited for that hehe Not that I ever have room for dessert but maybe we'll get something to go.

Black Tiger

Oooh a day where the weather really fell like Fall! Too bad there aren't many turning leaves around here. I miss that!  I wore this on Saturday.  I had my hair up during the pictures because it was wet and I didn't have time to style it before it got dark, or something like that.

This outfit is very me, I think. Not that I tend to wear a lot of black but I love a look that looks quite effortless, has a bit of an edge to it, is comfortable, flattering without showing a lot... *Shrug*

I bought a back up pair of these leggings the other day. That's a first. They're only $8 regularly at Target, so it's not like they're expensive, but they were on sale for $5 so I figured why not. I love the waist band, how long they are (I'm tall) and they last well! My original pair is still in perfect condition and I bought them last Fall, I believe.  Actually, this is the original pair you see here, not the back ups! Target only carries these during Fall/Winter, I think.

We ended up watching the UFC fight (we never miss one!) at a friend's house. I proceeded to drink wayyy too much and will not be doing that again for a while. :/  I curled my hair before we went out...looks so short!

30for30:2

Day 2

Two quick pictures my sister snapped on her iPhone. :) I later swapped the purple socks for sheer black ones but no pictures of that, sorry!

My face looks weird because I was blinded by the sun, hahah.

5 hour road trip tomorrow!  November 10th is the United States Marine Corps birthday which is always celebrated with a very formal ball!  It'll only be my second time wearing a floor length gown...the first being my wedding. haha I'm very excited.  We're driving to Primm, Nevada with my sister and her boyfriend (also a Marine) for it and then spending two nights.  Yay!

My dog was definitely staring at that other dog.

boyish

I wish I had taken better pictures of this outfit because I quite like it.  It was very boyish!  I spent the afternoon shopping with two friends of mine (didn't spend a penny!).

The shorts are a little too big on me. I'm happy to have lost more weight recently but ALL of my bottoms are now loose!  Ah well.
