Shop Small

I LOVE supporting small businesses (maybe because my mom has always had one?). Don't get me wrong, I love Target, Old Navy and other big name stores too but it's always nice to support an entrepreneur. With sites like Etsy and Instagram, it's easier these days to find small businesses. This year, for Black Friday, I decided to only shop small.

My small business is Lifting Lettuce.  I am a health coach offering 1:1 health coaching programs as well as detox programs. I help women adopt healthier habits, ditch the negative mindset and change the way they look at weight!  I currently have gift certificates for sale if you're interested!  I also sell trusii products and they have an EPIC sale going on now until Monday at midnight PST with 25% off everything and special discounted skincare bundles.  If you're not a preferred client, feel free to email me and I will get you the hook up (it's free).

Check out these great small businesses! Many have sales going on this weekend too!

Beckett Wish List (2 months)

Just some adorableness I've been eyeing lately... mostly clothes because, well, baby clothes are cute. Shopping for Beckett is somehow more satisfying than shopping for myself even though he can only wear things for such a short amount of time haha

1. Organic baby shorties - Batman! I love shorties. Why wouldn't you want to show off pudgy baby legs?
2. Onesie extenders - Genius! Beckett is a long baby and has been outgrowing stuff lengthwise while it's still big in the chest/stomach... so these would fix that problem!
3. Vegan baby moccasins - I think baby moccasins are beyond cute but most use real leather which, as a vegan, I prefer to avoid buying. But this shop has vegan options! I kind of want them all...
4. Organic stripe sweatpants.  Beckett has these in a shorts version and they are SO soft and so stretchy! I imagine they are super comfortable.  They are very well made so I definitely recommend anything in this shop!
5. Covered Goods multi use nursing cover. I tend to like using a cover when I'm somewhere busy, like a restaurant. The one I have is kind of flimsy- I don't love it. So I'm thinking about ordering this one. I love that it can also be used as a car seat cover as well as in a shopping cart. For nursing, it looks like it would stay in place well plus the 360 coverage is nice!
6. Jersey leggings.  I love the print and they're only $10. I'll have to see if I can find them in store!
7. Skinny jeans. Technically these are "boyfriend jeans" and are meant for a girl but we all know boys wear skinny jeans too! I think they're so sweet on baby boys but they HAVE to have stretch. Beckett has a couple pairs of pants that don't stretch and it's just awkward. They get really tight when he's sitting.  So I like that these have spandex in them.
8. Pull on cutoff shorts... for a baby?? *dead* haha They do have spandex in them so should be comfortable.
9. Tiger one-piece.  I LOVE rompers for babies.
10. Raw baltic amber teething necklace. Beckett has started sucking on things and drooling a bit but doesn't seem to be in any pain. Still, I plan on getting one of these as we get closer to teething age. They are said to help with pain, inflammation, drooling...  Of course it's more of a holistic medicine and there isn't much "science" to back it up but MANY people swear by it. I figure it's worth a shot- no harm done!

My Ideal Easter Basket

I'm not even doing Easter baskets this year but if I was... it'd look something like this.  Honestly, because I'm not religious, don't have family near by and don't have kids yet (well, besides the baby in my belly) Easter is just one of those holidays I don't really care about celebrating- next year it'll be a different story!

1. vegan Easter basket - I actually meant to order this from vegancuts.com and forgot. :P Looks pretty ideal to me! The vegan creme eggs look especially enticing.
2. Pacifica ultra cc cream- I've had my eye on this for a while! I think it'll be my next purchase soon as I use up the bb cream I have.
3. Pacifica brow gel - Another Pacifica goody I'd like to try! I actually haven't tried a brow gel before.
4/5. Forever 21 Crochet maxi dress and Painted floral maxi dress - Loving the boho vibe (I blame festival season) and how affordable these are.
6. Dainty bunny ring - Um, adorable and appropriate.
7. raw crystal pendant necklace - Pretty!
8. LA Splash Cosmetics studioshine waterproof lip lustre - I've been following this brand on Instagram and reeeally want to try their lip sticks! This is their newest line... waterproof!

Wishlist - Teething/Nursing Necklaces

I haven't even had my baby yet and I'm already looking at teething necklaces haha From what I've been told, babies start showing interest in this style of jewelry by 3 months. For nursing (bottle or breast) these necklaces help develop baby's fine motor skills as well as provide some always welcomed distraction. For babes who are teething, they'll find comfort in gnawing on a necklace. These necklaces can be made from various materials but silicone, wood and yarn seem to be quite common.  I initially thought they were a clever but ugly idea but have since changed my mind! There are a lot of great looking teething necklaces out there!  So I've rounded up a few of my favourites to share with you all.

For Sale

Two manicures sees to be the norm for me these days! I also realized I'm pretty sure I've only bought one bottle of polish so far this year! That's pretty awesome considering I used to buy multiples bottles a week! Polish addiction has been broken. Not say I don't still love and enjoy the hobby, I have just cured that desire to buy buy buy and I'm happy about that. I have just over 200 bottles of polish and have no desire to raise that number so I keep trying to sell/give away some in order to make room for the new.

First look is featuring this little mini polish from Walgreens that has no name. I got it in a Halloween clearance pack. I was hoping it would be this opaque hot pink but nope, it's quite sheer. Still, I really like the glitter. For a base, I used Zoya "Kimmy".

Loved this look! The green shade is Sinful Colors "Mint Apple" which has a beautiful shimmer to it. The pink, not surprisingly, is Zoya "Shelby".  The glitter is Sparkles by Julie "Dots n Stripes".  She is actually closing her shop (ending her business) so her polishes are on sale right now! Only $2.50 for minis and $5 for full size!

Also, I will be updating my shop soon! Here are a few items that you will be seeing but if interested, feel free to email me. Prices are negotiable and shipping charges will be applied.

$6 each
(OPI sold)

Victoria's Secret sheer crop top $8

Mossimo wedge sandals size 10 $12

Mossimo lightweight skirt skirt $10
